Our Principles
OUR PRINCIPLES
The Bible (especially the New Testament) will be our primary guide for faith and practice and The Pastor (as our God-called, theologically-trained, Holy Spirit-inspired leader) will be our primary interpreter of the Scriptures.
The Executive Pastor of New Life Christian Fellowships International shall appoint and be assisted by a Council of Elders confirmed by the Cell Group Leaders of The Parent Church. The Senior Pastor of each local congregation shall aappoint and be assisted by a Council of Elders confirmed by the Cell Group Leaders of that Congregation. Each of them after prayerful deliberation, shall lead their Ministry in fulfilling the purpose and vision of New Life Christian Fellowships International.
The Senior Pastor, as the Ecclesiastical Leader of each Congregation, shall be the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation and shall preside over and give leadership to the Elders Council of his or her Congregation. The Executive Pastor, as leader of the International Ministry, shall be the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation of New Life Christian Fellowships International. He or she shall preside over and give leadership to the Elders Council of New Life Christian Fellowships International.
The Senior Pastor (or some other person or group designated to do so) shall appoint or approve the necessary Cell Groups to carry out the various inreach and outreach ministries of his or her Congregation.
Based upon the guidelines established by The Elders Council of New Life Christian Fellowships International, The Elders Council of each Congregation has the authority to determine the budget and enter contracts on behalf of that Ministry, but shall not enter any contract or agreement that will, in any way, obligate or hold liable New Life Christian Fellowships International, unless there is a written agreement to do so signed by the proper officials.
If any matters are ever necessary to be brought to the whole Congregation, after prayerful deliberation, they will usually be decided by consensus.
Each member of this Ministry will be an active member of a Cell Group, will participate in the ministry of the Cell Group, will support the work of the Lord through this ministry and His worldwide mission through tithes and offerings, will work to improve the total community, and will endeavor, by the aid of The Holy Spirit, to lead at least one person to Christ each year and will help those persons to grow and mature in the faith. Individually and collectively, we will be advocates for peace and social justice and we will share our Pastor in making disciples, planting and developing churches, and in engaging in other wholistic ministries throughout the country and around the world.
