Our Identity & Beliefs
OUR IDENTITY
We are a Spirit-filled, Spirit-led, Spirit-empowered, Prayer-centered, Purpose-driven Church who are totally committed to the Lordship of Jesus Christ in order to Glorify God, Edify His Church, and Advance His Kingdom.
Our Primary Ministry is Prayer. Prayer Triads are formed to bring nonbelievers to Christ through intercessory prayer on their behalf and to pray for each other. It is designed so that members will covenant together in groups of three to pray for the salvation of nonbelievers and for the restoration of those who are unchurched or uncommitted (their Primary Three). This ministry is based upon l Timothy 2:1-4 which says:
“I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone--- for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives
in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men (people) to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”
OUR BELIEFS
We believe in One God who expresses Himself in Three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that God is our Creator, Christ is our Redeemer, and The Holy Spirit is our Sustainer. We believe that all persons are born sinners and that in order to be saved they must be born again. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Promised Messiah, the Son of God, the Savior of the world, and the only power of God unto salvation. We believe that we are saved by grace through faith. We believe that Christians are to glorify God, edify His Church, and advance His Kingdom by doing deeds of kindness and planting seeds of salvation so that The Holy Spirit can lead lost men and women, boys and girls to a saving knowledge of God through Jesus Christ and they become saved, sanctfied, and filled with His Spirit so that they can be the disciples and the disciplemakers that God wants them to be and help others to continue this process until every knee has bowed and every tongue has confessed Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We believe that to be a Christian is to be in THE ARMY OF GOD in order to engage in spiritual warfare against Satan and his army. In THE ARMY OF THE LORD we recognize and accept THE LORD HIMSELF as our General, HIS WORD as our Colonel, OUR PASTOR as our Captain, OUR ELDERS and our PASTORAL STAFF as our Lieutenants, and EVERY MEMBER of this ministry as a Soldier and Potential Officer in THE ARMY OF THE LORD.
